Valentine's Day -- Serving romantic drinks & foods including Chocolate Martinis, Red Passion Fruit Martinis & French Kisses as well as Heart & "Sole," Love Stout Stew & Heart"beet" Salad & more.
Mardi Gras -- On Tuesday, February 21, Philly's oldest and best Irish tavern will become Cajun for the night -- complete with strings of beads, hurricanes, Po' Boys, muffulettas & our fresh, homemade, piping hot jambalaya. Plus our Tuesday night specials -- $6.50 pitchers of Bud Light & Pabst Blue Ribbon, 35¢ jumbo wings and $1 mug of throwback beer (from 5 pm 'til keg kicks). Countdown to St Patrick's Day begins with live Irish music by Patsy Whelan, "authentic" stout & Irish food on Friday, February 24 & Saturday, February 25. 9 p.m. to 2 a.m. $2 cover. Pub Crawls -- Serving green beer & green cheer for people on pub crawls who want to make McGillin's their first, or last, stop on Saturdays, March 3 and 10.
St. Patrick's Day Parade -- During Philadelphia's St. Patrick's Day Parade on Sunday, March 11, parade-goers are encouraged to stop by for a seat by the fire & an Irish Coffee, Hot Chocolate with Butterscotch Liquor, Hot Toddie or other warm-ups. McGillin's is just half a block from the Broad Street parade route. From February 24 - March 17, serving "authentic"stout from O'Hara's in Ireland, O'Reilly's from Sly Fox in Phoenixville and Lancaster Brewing Company's Milk Stout. Irish cocktails will include Irish coffees, Chocolate Leprechauns and McGillin's original Irish Potato Martini. Fresh Irish lunch & dinner specials include Bangers & Mash (Irish sausage and mashed potatoes), Shepherd's Pie, Irish Lamb Stew and Corned Beef with Cabbage. Philadelphia Flower Show -- Stop by for an inexpensive, homemade meal before or after the show. We're just a few blocks from the Pennsylvania Convention Center & there's a new parking garage right next door on Drury Lane. In honor of the Flower Show's Hawaiian theme, Philly's oldest bar has created a vintage Hawaiian drink -- Ma McGillin's Hawaii Kai Fizzle. It's a refreshing mix of pineapple, lime, orange and apricot juices, light and dark rums, Fee Brothers Bitters and Ma's homemade falernum. From March 4 - 11, we'll be serving Ma's new drink along with other flower-themed drinks, including the Aloha Mimosa, Kona Brewing's Koko Brown, Ithaca's Flower Power & more. Plus Flower Pot Pies and a free bowl of fresh soup with every lunch. Throwback Beers for $1 -- Every Tuesday night we'll serve mugs of a Throwback beer for only $1/$5 pitcher. Starting at 5 pm 'til keg kicks. Think Miller High Life, Rolling Rock, etc. On Tuesdays, you can get 35¢ wings, $4.50 Picklebacks (Jameson & pickle juice) & $6.50 pitchers of Pabst Blue Ribbon & Bud Light too. It's gonna be a great night Monday Night FourSquare Special -- Are you on Foursquare? If not, sign up to be eligible for our new Late Night Happy Hour on Mondays. Check in to McGillin's on 4square any Monday from 11 p.m. - 1 a.m. for $4 Jagermeister shots, $3 Soco Lime Shots and $2 pints of Pabst Blue Ribbon. Come often enough and you may even become the Mayor of McGillins! Karaoke - Join us for the city's best karaoke every Wednesday and Sunday night. New sound system! Open Mic Night - It's better than American Idol auditions. Thursday nights. 2nd Floor Bar -We've just renovated our 2nd floor bar and added a 20-foot antique oak back bar. We'll open it on Wednesday, Thursday, Friday & Saturday nights. Serving 10 locally brewed craft beers. Also available for private parties.
