McGillin's 1860 IPA
McGillin's marked its 150th Anniversary (in 2010) with the launch of its own beer, called McGillin’s 1860 IPA. It is made by Stoudt’s Brewing, brewer of the tavern’s two house beers: McGillin’s Real Ale and McGillin’s Genuine Lager. McGillin’s 1860 IPA, is unfiltered, as it would have been in the 1800s, and is made from a secret recipe with multiple hop varieties including centennial and amarillo. A crisp hop flavor and aroma with a slight maltness and medium body round off this quaffable ale.
McGillin’s 1860 IPA is available, on tap, at McGillin’s, the Great American Pub in Narberth and Stoudt's in Adamstown. It is available bottled at McGillin's & Capital Grille in Center City Philadelphia. Only 200 cases were brewed.  McGillin’s serves a large selection of regional microbrews such as Yards, Stoudt’s, Flying Fish, Victory, Sly Fox and Dogfish Head beers on tap, as well as imports.
Two house specialties, McGillin’s Real Ale and McGillin’s Genuine Lager are brewed in Adamstown by Stoudt’s, emphasizing McGillin’s commitment to Eastern Pennsylvania microbrewers.
McGillin’s serves more of Stoudt’s draft beer than any other tavern in the Commonwealth, as well as an eclectic mix of ales, lagers and pilsners from Europe. McGillin's -- Philadelphia's best Irish pub -- serves the only Stout brewed in Ireland!
